WYAO ends October by supporting our community and a great cause – participating in the Making Strides of Hawaii walk. The American Cancer Society started Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks to unite communities in the fight against this deadly disease. The organization raises money to help the American Cancer Society fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and provide patient services like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near treatment, and a live 24/7 cancer helpline.
On Saturday, October 26th, WYAO Hawaii’s Terri Dietz supported a wonderful group of supporters and survivors! Be on the look out for WYAO Hawaii’s November newsletter for our exclusive interview with Oahu resident Pam Farrell, a spunky and vibrant breast cancer survivor as she discusses diagnosis, treatment, and a supportive workplace network as being crucial to recovery. Don’t miss it – subscribe to our newsletter today! And be sure to check out our previous post about breast cancer in the workplace.
WYAO Hawaii is designed to support companies in the shift from an ‘activity-based’ wellness program to a thriving, integrated results-oriented wellness system. We are grounded in a nationally recognized and research-based model to assist companies through a seven-step sequence toward Workplace Wellness Success.
