HONOLULU, O’ahu (KITV4) – WYAO Hawaii is made up of a team of doctors, nurses, nutritionists, health coaches and fitness experts that partners with companies providing wellness solutions.
The CDC has noted the strong correlation between this pandemic and the rise of stress and anxiety. The pandemic has affected each person and family uniquely. WYAO Hawaii believes the need for mindfulness and self-care has never been more widespread than it is at this time.
Due to the high need for virtual wellness offerings at this time, WYAO Hawaii, a locally owned and operated corporate wellness company, has partnered with SAVVI to offer a three-part virtual education series beginning in September. This series is available to individuals, as well as to organizations to use as a corporate wellness offering, while maintaining social-distancing guidelines. Terri Dietz, owner of WYAO Hawaii, commented, “We’ve developed each event in this series to serve as a moment of revitalization and self-care in your workday, during what has become a uniquely stressful time for each of us.” The connection between this pandemic and rising levels of stress has been widely noted, making attention to self-care of the utmost importance.
The first event in this Virtual Education Series will focus on Healthy Aging and will take place Tuesday, September 22. The second event will focus on Healthy Minds and will take place Tuesday, September 29. The third event in the three-part series will focus on Supporting and Celebrating Family Caregivers and will take place Tuesday October 6. Each event will begin at 10 AM and will last 20 minutes, including a 15 minute “Healthy Byte of Education” followed by 5-10 minutes of a simple activity or a community resource. Dietz says, “WYAO Hawaii’s main priorities are to focus on the value of each individual person we serve and to create opportunities for connection. We look forward to hosting both individuals and organizations throughout Hawai’i in this important series centered around self-care.”
